Game Polish
This was our last full week of development before we shift gears for presentation week. We’ve gotten a ton of valuable feedback from both internal and external playtests on the features we implemented over the past few weeks. After our most recent playtest, the general consensus was clear, we’re in a good spot content wise, and now it’s all about polish and making sure player feedback is front and center. Stephen’s been wrapping up the advertisement assets for the billboards scattered around the level, while Barry and Keith have been finalizing a few remaining assets. Ian’s been working with level design adjustments, scene transition polish, helping solve bugs and refining the UI. Connor has been solving bugs and implementing some new particle effects for the player. I’ve been working on our game logos and lighting setups. We’re thinking of doing higher quality bakes for lighting in the main menu and final level, while dialing back the quality a bit on earlier levels to help with overall performance.
